The Holy Spirit Is The Most Ignored Person In The Christian Church Today.

Since the beginning of time, The Holy Spirit has suffered the most rejections. If you are feeling rejected or depressed right now, talk to Him, He can help you.

He absolutely knows how it feels to be ignored and given the cold shoulder which so many christians give.

Imagine you are sitting in the leaving room of your house and you have a son who just came home from school. He enters the door of the house and goes straight into his room without saying a word to you.

All day long he pays no attention to you, and is busy minding his own business. How would you feel? Grieved and rejected isn't it? I would be.

Don't Ignore the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit Loves And Desires You More Than You Think He Does

But do you know that The Spirit of God is passionately is pursuit of your love and attention?

This is a verse from the bible which has totally changed my thoughts and understanding towards God, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you..." -James 4:8(NKJV).

The Holy Spirit's desire for you to draw near to Him is MUCH greater than your desire to draw near to Him. For some reason, there are so many christians that live under the lie that "God is not really interest in me".

That is definitely a lie from the greatest deceiver Satan himself! I used to live under that lie, and think that God is only interested in others but not in me.

Resist the devil! Bind that thought! The Holy Spirit loves you, so much more than your earthly father does!

He wants to be in every part of your life. He wants you to think of Him, talk to Him, worship Him.

However, the Spirit of God can never enter your life if you do not draw near to Him, open up your heart to receive Him. We are the ones who need to draw near first before He can draw near to us.

God Craves For Your Attention

Let us look at another verse, "Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?" -James 4:5(NKJV). The Holy Spirit yearns for us, jealously. According to Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary,

to yearn means
1 : to long persistently, wistfully, or sadly
2 : to feel tenderness or compassion

jealously means
1 a : intolerant of rivalry or unfaithfulness
1 b : disposed to suspect rivalry or unfaithfulness
2 : hostile toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage
3 : vigilant in guarding a possession

The Holy Spirit longs for you persistently! If you have ever been into a dating relationship before, for a few weeks you were overseas or away on a trip and are unable to see her, you would yearn for her! If you had someone close to you who passed away you would yearn for him!

You just lie on your bed at night and cry sometimes. That is because you are no longer in touch with them, you are not able to be in their presence to enjoy their touch.

That is how the Holy Spirit feels for us. He longs for us!! He wants to feel our tenderness, love and compassion for Him! He is grieved when He does not get our attention.

When we are bored, we just switch on the television, go to a movie, read the newspapers, chatting on a phone, play computer games and all sorts of things to occupy our boredom.

The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, goes, "Why wouldn't you talk to me?". "Why are you going after him who does not even love you from his heart?". "Why wouldn't you listen to me?".

But we just continue to do mind our business. I have been guilty of that. I remember myself, not many years ago, my leader told me to pray to God everyday.

To me, prayer was like a monologue, just me myself trying to petition with God, who is a zillion miles away from me, to give me this and bless me that.

It was no fun at all. In fact, it was dry and boring. To people, I may look like a devoted christian. But the truth is, I'm just a religious christian! I have no relationship with the Holy Spirit

While Jesus was on Earth, the scribes and pharisees wanted a relationship with God the Father apart from Jesus the son. The christians today however, want a relationship with Jesus apart from the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said Himself, "However, when He the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever he hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." -John 16:13(NKJV)

The Holy Spirit will reveal to us the truth about the God the Father and God the Son and the matters of the kingdom of heaven.

Without the Holy Spirit, we christians will never have any revelations about God and His kingdom, and definitely no passion for God.

Friends, I urge you to really develope a desire to know the Holy Spirit more.

He loves you more deeply than you could ever imagine.

Father, I pray that all your sons and daughters whom you have led to this place will receive a fresh revelation of who the Holy Spirit really is. Let them understand how much you really desire for and love them. I pray they will never neglect and grief the delicate Holy Spirit, ever again. Amen.
