Carrier Of God's PresenceThe ark of the Lord was captured for a period of time. The ark represents God's presence to the people of Israel. However, for 20 years, the ark was stolen and carried away by the Philistines.While on the way back to their city, David the king ordered to put the ark on a cart which resulted in a tragedy. The presence of God cannot be carried on man-made methods and traditions. The presence of God can only be carried by the shoulders of priests. We, in the New Testament, are the priesthood of God (1 Pet. 2:9). As Christians, we should be carrying the presence of God in our lives. We are to influence the world with the presence and power of God (2 Cor. 2:14-15). We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world, the fragrance of Christ to both believers and unbelievers. June 8 - Carrier of God's Presence - Christian Daily Devotions When the anointing and presence of God is upon you, people will sense it when they come near you. Jesus carried a strong presence and power of God. Wherever He went, the multitudes thronged Him, the children loved Jesus and wanted to follow Him wherever He went. People must be able to see the power and the presence of God in your life. Paul said that his preaching was not with persuasive words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 2:4-5). How do we carry the presence of God? (1) The presence of God comes through worship (Ps. 95:2,6). (2) The presence of God flows through a contrite heart (Ps. 34:18). (3) The presence of God dwells in an atmosphere of holiness (Deut. 23:14). It is important to spend time to worship God everyday. As you walk in purity, humility and holiness, God's presence will be manifested in a great way in your life. You will begin to experience the power of the Holy Spirit flowing through you to touch the world and be a witness for Christ (Acts 1:8).
